Comfortably Mari

I am a mother, an artist, and a fisheries biologist. I live in Portland, OR with my daughter, Etta. I returned to painting after more than a decade away for college and career. I am much happier with a better balance in my life. I have found painting trees and other images of nature to be very therapeutic and painting has helped me see the beauty around me and within me.

I work in acrylic on canvas and really enjoy adding depth to my paintings by using the wrapped sides of the canvases. This allows the paintings to be hung without frames. These are all original works of art, but archival quality reproductions on paper or canvas are available. Please enjoy!
